COVID-19: It’s Here.

As early as December an individual in China contracted a new strain of coronavirus which was dubbed Covid-19. While China tried to hide the virus the word got out to the World Health Organization (WHO). In mid-December WHO issued a warning around the world for countries to be prepared for a possible contamination and take precautions every country except the United States took warning seriously. Because President Trump ignored the warning from WHO he distanced United States from WHO.

In January 144,000 Americans were allowed to leave China to come back to America and several cruise ships were finally allowed to dock from countries around the world.

In February the first cases were found in Washington State. Then the virus spread. It is in all 50 states with spikes in 29 states and still rising. As of now there are over 5 million people suffering from coronavirus and over 163,000 deaths.

There are 25 million Americans out of work and 29 million fighting for unemployment benefits. The stock market has continued to remain steady but economy is in the basement

Democrats and Republicans are fighting to agree on a stimulus bill that would help Americans and the economy. The President continues to downplay the virus and can’t understand why it’s not going away. Maybe he should learn to listen to Dr. Anthony Fauci it might save the country. What about you?
